I've been to dozens of people like you - alchemists, apothecaries, mages - and you're all the same. You claim to know things, but when something really happens, you're just as useless as the rest of us! You're all charlatans! Charlatans!

These words are how you get sent on one of the most important (and most difficult) missions of your life. Your life is relatively uneventful until the morning when Mrs. Daruna Argando, a noblewoman known for her immense wealth and influence, enters your shop, seeking help for her dying grandson.

Will you be able to save her suffering grandson from a terrible fate and figure out what really happened to him? After all, regular people don't stay asleep for weeks...

FEATURES

  • Play as an alchemist! Manage your shop, help people, and even try to brew a potion in a small mini-game!
  • Pick your first and last name, and choose your pronouns.
  • Choose your personality and see how it affects some of your character's responses.
  • Choose and name your very own familiar.
  • Pick one of the four elements and see how it changes your magical reactions in dire situations.
  • Help and old dwarven woman and her grandson, who's been asleep for the past few weeks.
  • Fight against a monstrous beast!
  • Start a romance with a kind priestess or a sarcastic enchanter, or choose to remain single.
  • Drink lots and lots of tea!

The game is going to be episodic in nature, but every episode can be played separately as it tells a different story. There will be a bigger story that'll connect all the episodes and have its culmination in the last episode, but that'll come in an unspecified future. The first episode is about 50k words long and features more or less 25 choices, excluding character creation.

This was so well written. I can't find the rate button, but I def give this 5 stars. I did notice some typos, and in the characters section, it still said thst I hadn't spoke with Ophelia

Ezra is such a problem lol my poor mc's heart.

quick question, is there a way to change the mc's haircolor from white?

I just finished chapter 1! I really enjoyed it quite a lot. I am super interested in where to story will be going.

Any idea on when chapter 2 will be ready?

It's been an interesting story so far can't wait for more :D

I really enjoyed the game! Wish there was more to read xD I loved the interactions between the characters, and Ezra is very interesting xD

I do have a question- is the appearance of the MC set, or is the customization not implemented yet?

Good game but could you add the ability to customize the pronouns of your familiar?

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the game.

Since it shouldn't be too difficult and it may enrich the experience for some players, I'll make sure to add the choice in the next update!

Great writing! I've enjoyed it so far.

However I think there might be some coding issues in the game. At first the money was 500 tisyels, but after making 2 balms for a customer (forgot his name, sorry) and getting paid, the money turned to 100, and after discussing with Ophelia and Ezra, it said you earned around 34 tisyels and the money just turned to 34. I think you might want to add it up instead of setting it to the value?

Hi! I'm glad you enjoyed the writing and thank you for bringing this to my attention. I've already dealt with the issue and reuploaded the game. Things should be working correctly now!

Yeah it's working great now :) thank you for fixing the issue!

Ok, at first I thought this was a programming error, but I'm seeing it on a lot of different Twine games so I'm starting to think it's on my end.

I cannot type in the text boxes in this game. I do not know why.

I discovered the problem. Apparently, my ad blocker was blocking it in the browser version. So, I guess for anyone else using uBlock Origin, try turning it off (or downloading the desktop version; I didn't try this, but it should also work) if you have this issue.

Thank you for clarifying! Sorry for not answering you here, but I did mention this problem in the devlog, saying I was unable to replicate the issue.

I'm glad you managed to figure it out!
